We believe God to be the Creator and Ruler of the Universe. We also believe in one God, subsiding in three persons, of one substance, of eternal being, and equal in holiness, justice, wisdom, power, and dignity; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.” Not three Gods, but one God, subsisting in three persons; the Trinity in unity. (Genesis 1:1, 26-27; Matthew 3:16, 17; 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 John 5:7).
We believe God to be the Creator and Ruler of the Universe. (Genesis 1:1, 26-27; Matthew 3:16, 17; 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 John 5:7).
We believe the Holy Ghost, proceeding from the Father and the Son, is of one substance, majesty, and glory with the Father and the Son, very and eternal God
We believe that the Pentecostal baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire is obtainable by a definite act of appropriating faith on the part of the fully cleansed believer, and the initial evidence of the reception of this experience is speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Luke 11:13, Acts 1:5; 2:1-4; 8:17; 10:44-49; 19:6).
We believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ; that He died and arose after three days to demonstrate His power over death and sin. We believe in His triumphant ascension into heaven, and that He now sits at the right hand of heaven’s majestic throne interceding for His saints. We believe He will come again as King of King and Lord of Lords to judge the living and the dead in the end of age. (Luke 24:1-7; Romans 1:3-4; 1 Corinthians 15:12-19).
We believe in the imminent second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The word imminent means the second coming of Christ is near; it is impending, likely to occur at any moment. That the same Jesus who was taken up into Heaven shall come again in like manner.” shall return; the “same Jesus” who was “taken up into heaven shall so come in like manner” as He was seen to “go into heaven”. (1 Thessalonians 4:15-18; Matthew 25:29-44; Mark 13:32-37; Titus 2:13; Acts 1:11)
Many signs point to the soon coming of Jesus. The following Scriptures set forth several of these signs: (Daniel 12:4; Nahum 2:3, 4; Joel 2:28-32; Matthew 24; Mark 13; Luke 21:25-36; 1 Timothy 4:1-5; 2 Timothy 3:1-8, 13; 4:3, 4; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12; 2 Peter 2 and 3; and the Book of Jude).
Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist in union with God, through forgiveness and salvation, or eternally separated from God by sin. When we die or if Christ returns before our death we will spend eternity in Heaven if we have union with God or Hell if we are separated from God. (John 14:1-3; Romans 6:23; I John 2:25; Luke 16:23-25; 2 Thessalonians 1:6-9; Revelation 14:9-11; 20:11-15; 21:7-8).
We believe the Bible is God’s word to all men and is the infallible, inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God; written by men under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs. (Psalms 119:105,160; Proverbs 30:5; 2 Timothy 1:13, 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21; John 10:35).
We believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood for the remission of sins for all mankind. We do not believe that any sort or degree of good works can procure or contribute toward our justification or salvation. Salvation is accomplished solely and exclusively on the basis of our faith in the shed blood, the resurrection, and the justifying righteousness of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that the promise of Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into their life by faith. (Matthew 26:28; Ephesians 1:7; 1 John 2:1, 3:5-10; Romans 5:8-9; 6:22-23; Revelation 1:5; 5:9).
Sanctification is a definite, instantaneous work of grace, obtainable by faith on the part of the justified believer. It is in the sense of being separate from the world, striving to live a dedicated and consecrated life to God; a selfless life, a life of devotion to all the will of God, a life of holiness in accordance with His word; (Romans 5:1; 6:22; 12:1-2; Acts 20:32; 26:18; 2 Corinthians 7:1; 1 Thessalonians 4:7; 5:23; Hebrews 12:14; James 1:27; and 1 Peter 1:15-16).
We believe provision was made in the atonement for the healing of our bodies as set forth in the word of God. And, while we do not condemn the use of medical means in the treatment of physical disease, we do believe in, practice, and commend to our people the laying on of hands by the elders or leaders of the church, the anointing with oil in the name of the Lord, and the offering of prayers for the healing of the sick. (Exodus 15:26; Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:15-18; James 5:14-16; Romans 8:26-28).
We believe in Water Baptism and Holy Communion. Water Baptism is intended only for those who have professed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a God-given illustration of each Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. Water Baptism is not redemption but demonstrates the believer’s public confession of this fact to others. (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 22:16)
Holy Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, commemorates our redemption by Christ’s death. It points to Calvary and to the return of Jesus, whose blood cleanses us from all sin and prepares us for His blessed return. (Matthew 26:17-30; 1 Corinthians 11:23-30).
